Self-bonding enameled wire is a multi-coated conductor in which an additional thermoplastic or thermoset bondable layer is applied over the conventional enamel film — a typical structure of "conductor + base insulation film + outer bondable film". After thermal (or solvent) activation, the bonding layer softens and flows to firmly adhere adjacent turns; upon cooling, an integrated self-supporting coil is formed, eliminating the varnish impregnation and baking steps required by conventional windings.

Application |
HB-UEW/180 provide both film-free direct soldering and thermal/solvent self-bonding for precision H-class coils and automotive electronic AIW/220 delivering a balanced thermal/chemical package for oil-immersed transformers, EV traction motors and refrigeration compressors. HB-PIW/240 serving aerospace, defence, superconducting and downhole applications. The three grades form a clear ladder of thermal class, base chemistry, mechanical strength and application scenario, covering the vast majority of flat-wire coil-forming needs. |

Self-supporting forming
The bondable layer, once activated thermally, consolidates turns into a monolithic coil without bobbins or impregnation.
