☆The PIW is better at dissipating heat, which also improves transformer operation. When transformers are activated, they may become very hot. Heat is an important factor to consider, for the fact that heat can make the transformer less efficient.
☆The PIW can be wound tightly, saving space in transformers. Transformers must be a particular size to function properly. Using winding as tight as possible, those transformers can be smaller using flat wire.
☆The PIW is providing excellent insulation on the flat wire decreasing the possibility of short circuits and making it safer. Short circuits are deadly because they could lead to fires or other issues.
☆PIW is highly resistant to wear and rust, thus extending the life of transformers. Because transformers help electricity work, they have to be durable. Flat wire coated in enamel is resilient and resists rubbing and rust damage.
