The film architecture is a two-layer composite: polyester-imide (EI) undercoat for thermal and mechanical endurance + polyamide-imide (AI) overcoat for chemical / refrigerant and abrasion resistance. No self-bonding layer is overlaid; it is a pure base-film composite flat wire.

Two numbers best capture the value of this grade. First, the rectangular cross-section achieves a space factor (slot fill) of 82–92%, far higher than round wire at 70–78%, allowing more conductor to be packed into the same slot area. Second, the as-received breakdown voltage is ≥4000 V - the highest of any rectangular wire in our catalog, and particularly well-suited to high-voltage-stress environments such as variable-frequency drives.
